Managing Default Tags

    Default Tags is a SiteCam Pro feature. Logon to the SiteCam Web App to upgrade to Pro license.

    The Default Tags are used to pre-populate a new project with a list of available tags, which appear as suggested auto-complete tags when you start typing tags to photos in that project. This is useful if you want to guide project members to use certain tags, rather than creating new tags that may not be consistent with other tags in the project. For example, encouraging the #fire exit tag to be used, rather than creating a new tag called #fire exits. Or if your future projects use the same tags, you can set them as Default Tags so they don’t need to be added to each project individually.

    Any changes to the Default Tags will only take effect on new projects.

    The Default Tags do not restrict the ability to add tags to the project. Additional tags can be added to the project during the process of saving photos. The tags used within a project are able to be reviewed, edited, and combined. Click here to learn more about managing project tags.

    Default Tags Menu (Web)

    1. To access the Default Tags Settings, first login to the SiteCam Web App. Click the ⚙️ icon in header bar.

    2. In the General Settings panel, navigate to the Default Tags section.
If your account is part of multiple organizations, ensure that you first choose the intended company.

    Adding New Default Tags (Web)

    1. To add a new tag, click on the + Add button.

    2. Enter the name of the new tag. Once you are done with the edit, click Save.

    Deleting Default Tags (Web)

    1. To delete a tag, click on the trash icon next to the tag you want to delete.

    2. Once you’re done with the edit, click Save.

    Editing Default Tags (Web)

    1. To edit an existing tag, simply click on the tag you want to edit.

    2. Enter the name of the new tag. Click on the Save button once you’re done with the edit.

    Default Tags Menu (Mobile)

    1. To access the Default Tags Settings, open the SiteCam app on your iOS or Android device. Tap on the icon to open the Project Menu.

    2. In the Project Menu, tap on the ⚙️ icon to open the General Settings Menu.

    3. Under the SITECAM PRO section, select Pro Settings.

    4. In Pro Settings, select Default project tags.

    Adding New Default Tags (Mobile)

    1. To add a new tag, click on the + Add button.

    2. Enter the name of the new tag, then tap done.

    3. Once you are done with the edit, click Save.

    Deleting Default Tags (Mobile)

    1. To delete a tag, tap the ⛔️ icon next to the tag you want to delete.

    2. Once you’re done with the edit, tap Save.

    1. To edit an existing tag, simply tap on the tag you want to edit.

    2. Enter the name of the new tag, then tap done.

    3. Once you’re done with the edit, tap Save.
